Bauhinia Fine Art Print

This magnified Bauhinia bloom is part of Claxton’s Bauhinia collection and has been finely drawn using the iPad as a drawing medium. The distinctive bloom was chosen as Hong Kong’s emblem more than 50 years ago and features on the Hong Kong flag. The delicate veins and pattern within each petal have been exaggerated and emphasised. The floral is sinking into the monochrome backdrop in an abstracted pastel colour dreamlike daze. Again, the artist wants the viewer to feel overwhelmed by the patterns and beauty that lie within nature.
